Better late than never! We’ve finally pulled together the best of the best from our September 2012 photo shoot special with Crystal Doughtie to show off for your viewing pleasure. These gorgeous ladies came to the studio and participated in one of the few day-long specials we offer. Kimberly, Christina, Constance, and Shannon look amazing, and Crystal Doughtie’s makeup really stands out. AmyRose styled Kimberly & Shannon’s hair as well. Although we don’t currently have a photo shoot special planned, be sure to stay tuned to our Facebook page for updates!

Micah & Ryan | Portland Engagement Portraits

Have I mentioned before how much I love to travel? For me, travel is a priority in life and business, so when Micah asked me to take her & Ryan’s engagement portraits in Portland, Oregon, there was no question that I’d say yes! I’ve known Micah since the inception of La Photographie (she was one of our first boudoir clients!), and I’m pleased as punch to be photographing her wedding in September. GiGi and I adventured to Oregon and spent an afternoon capturing these lush images in various parts of springtime Portland. We started at the Steel Bridge and Willamette Riverfront, then made our way to the incredible Laurelhurst Park. Thank goodness for umbrellas and raincoats! We finished up at their home, where Ryan’s adorable daughter Cordelia joined us for a few sweet family portraits in the sunshine.

And now for the companion blog post to yesterday’s feature on Jomeka! Meet Zane: this beautiful bombshell posed for her session right after Jomeka and took it to another level! I love the pops of red and pink in her styling. My favorite shots of her are on the iconic green couch in La Photographie Studios. On today’s blog, we have Miss Jomeka. This stunner came to La Photographie Studios with her friend Zane (the companion blog post is coming up tomorrow!), and the two of them rocked it out! I love Jomeka’s style and sass. She is a hairdresser and stylist who did her own makeup, hair, and wardrobe. She brought lots of fun accessories along and we had a blast creating these images. Cecilia recently came to the studio to have a pin up calendar made for her significant other. She had her makeup done by Crystal Doughtie, and we had a lot of fun playing around with different outfits. I especially love the boudoir-style portraits in front of the vanity and the edgy lighting shots with the black lingerie. Enjoy!

I love doing post-wedding portrait sessions, especially with a couple as romantic and lovely as Katie & Jason. We did this portrait session a couple of months after their fall 2012 wedding. We started at their darling East Nashville cottage, and moved on to Shelby Bottoms park at sunset. Enjoy!

Music City Burlesque held their 6th annual spring show, Spring It On, on April 12th at Marathon Music Works. Hosted by King Dado, Spring It On featured all 8 lovely MCB members, as well as special guests GiGi La Femme, Alethea Austin, and Sadie Hawkins. Isn’t Kerstin just gorgeous? I was so flattered when she contacted me to take her maternity portraits this winter. She used wardrobe items from Savant, and had her hair done by AmyRose and makeup by Alicia Maynard. I love the way these turned out, so romantic, soft, and feminine. I also love how she mixed in a cute pin up style with the softer images, as well as this first image where she channeled her Hispanic heritage. Enjoy!

Although I don’t get the opportunity to take senior portraits often, I absolutely love doing them! We did Tristan’s portraits last fall and I can’t believe I’m just now blogging them! Katelynn & Andy | Nashville Wedding Photographer

Katelynn & Andy were married at Scarritt Bennett Chapel in Nashville, Tennessee on a cold February evening. The bride described her wedding as “1920s gypsy marrying into money in Paris.” I just fell in love with this couple and their lovely families. I had an incredible time photographing their day, from the beautiful details to the big moments. The reception, held at Houston Station, was absolutely stunning. Monica Holmes at the Clean Plate Club was the caterer and event designer. She did a lovely job of pulling together the best elements, including lighting from Bright, to create a magical reception. Other contributors to the decor included Southern Events Party Rental, flowers by Gina at Bloom, and cupcakes by The Painted Cupcake.
