I have to start this blog post by saying that I felt unbelievably special to be part of this private, personal wedding. I’ve known Anjeanette for about a year now; we run in some of the same artistic circles in Nashville. She’s a super cool woman with an amazing eye for art and photography, so when she asked me to photograph this day, I was happy to agree. She and Brian are obviously so in love, and the wedding included their two children, Rocko and Oonagh (cool names, huh?). It was held last Friday at the Rock Castle historic home in Hendersonville, and although it was terribly hot, most of the time we were in the shade, which resulted in these golden, sparkly photographs. The style was pure DIY class, with Anjeanette wearing a net veil that she made herself and a perfect white dress (bought from Goodwill!), carrying a handmade curly willow bouquet; Brian wore a white shirt with a handmade black boutonniere; the children were in white and black, and they even wore black and white Chucks! Anjeanette and her family love birds, so she created some chickadees from fimo clay, and they adorned the bouquets and bouts. With such an adorable family as the subject, I couldn’t go wrong with the pictures, and I am so proud to show them off. Congratulations Anjeanette and Brian! I can’t wait to photograph your reception in sweet, cool October.
